At Somatic Physical Therapy, we don’t treat symptoms – we treat our patients. That’s the Somatic difference.
For patients with chronic pain and muscular conditions, Somatic provides a progressive local twitch response (LTR) treatment using sterile mono-filament needles.
Just like it sounds, trigger points are those areas of centralized tightness in muscle tissue around our body – they often cause pain, discomfort and are responsible for chronic pain throughout our daily lives.
Regardless of what you do for a living – whether you work in an office environment or on the job-site, chances are the demands on you to become more productive require you to sacrifice your personal comfort and health for efficiency.
It is scientifically proven that pain and inactivity can distort the signals the brain sends to our muscles. Neurac treatment utilizes Redcord’s suspension system to isolate weak links in the muscular chain. This means quickly reducing the pain and dysfunction while promoting proper muscle activation and performance.
Most of us don’t consciously think about the way we walk, run or exercise – unless we’re experiencing discomfort, pain or suffering from a lingering injury.
Dr. Nick Long founded Somatic Physical Therapy in 2017 with the vision of providing superior health and wellness services as well as education for patients suffering from pain and functional limitations. Nick is well-known for his successful outcomes treating the chronic pain population and takes pride in promoting the lost art of the family doctor with a professional and courteous bedside-manner. Nick received his bachelor’s degree in 2007 and Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2009 from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
At Somatic Physical Therapy, there is nothing more important to us than the health and safety of our patients and staff during this unprecedented time. The Department of Homeland Security and state governments have deemed physical therapy an essential component of healthcare during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic; therefore, our office will remain open to serve those in need. We are taking extensive preventative measures to protect our patients and employees who enter our clinic.
